Undergraduate Admission for the 2023/2024 Academic Session

UNIMED invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for undergraduate admission in the upcoming 2023/2024 Academic Session. To be eligible for the Post UTME Screening, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Eligibility Criteria

1. UTME Candidates

Candidates who selected "Ondo State University of Medical Sciences" as their most preferred (1st) choice institution in the 2023/2024 UTME and scored 150 or above are eligible to apply for the Post UTME Screening.

2. O' Level Requirements

All applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in NECO, SSCE, or GCE O' Level, including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other relevant subjects specified by each faculty. These credits should be obtained in no more than two (2) sittings.

For programs like Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), and Doctor of Physiotherapy, candidates must obtain the required credits in Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in a single sitting.

3. Direct Entry Candidates

Candidates who have applied through JAMB and have chosen UNIMED as their most preferred (1st) choice institution for the 2023/2024 Direct Entry Registration can also apply for the Post UTME Screening. Direct Entry candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of ten (10) points in relevant 'A' level subjects, B.Sc. (Hons) Degree/Diploma in Basic Medical or Basic Science subjects with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division).

  • For Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry programs, a minimum of thirteen (13) points in relevant 'A' level subjects and Second Class Upper, B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in any Basic Medical Science courses.

  • For the Nursing Science program, candidates with a first (1st) degree in health-related and basic science courses with a minimum of a second-class lower honour are eligible to apply. Candidates who hold RN or RM Certificates from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria are also eligible.

4. JAMB UTME Subject Combination

English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are mandatory subjects for all courses in the faculties. Candidates applying for admission in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Computer Science must present a UTME subject combination of English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

5. Changing Institution

Candidates who did not initially choose the "Ondo State University of Medical Sciences" but are interested in changing their most preferred (1st) choice institution to UNIMED are advised to apply for the Post UTME Screening.

How to Apply for the UNIMED Post UTME Screening

Follow these steps to complete your application for the 2023/2024 Post UTME Screening at UNIMED:

  1. Visit the University website at www.unimed.edu.ng.
  2. Click on the "Admission" section.
  3. Access the Post-UTME Portal by selecting "Post-UTME."
  4. Make the necessary payment using the online payment system and DEBIT cards.
  5. After payment, remember to print the payment receipt.
  6. Login to the Post-UTME Portal using your UTME/DE Registration Number and Payment Transaction ID as the password. Fill out the screening form.
