About the Bursary, Fields Covered and Coverage Value 

Bursaries will be awarded to students currently studying towards an undergraduate BSc or B Eng qualification, within one of the following fields:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

The bursary will cover tuition-related expenses up to a certain amount, determined annually.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

South African citizen

Current Matric students:

  • Achieved a minimum 5 symbols for Physical Science and Mathematics
  • Achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
  • Intend on studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study
  • Accepted to study at a recognised South African University

Current University students:

  • Completed Matric
  • Achieved a minimum of 65% overall aggregate
  • Studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study (1st/ 2nd/ 3rd year)
  • Studying at a recognised South African University

Preference will be given to students from designated groups

Proven financial need

Possess the following behavioural competencies: Excellence, Integrity, Brightness and Team spirit
