Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri (FPNO) Supplementary Admission Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for all National Diploma (ND) Programmes are as follows:
- Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’level Examinations).
- Possession of Appropriate JAMB subjects Combination for the course applied for.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
- Visit the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri website at https://fpno.edu.ng
- Click on apply for admissions.
- Select your programme type
- Generate Invoice for the application form
- Pay the Invoice at the Bank or online with your ATM/Debit Card
- Proceed to any bank of your choice and make a payment of ₦2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only using Remita Number (RRR). You can also choose to make your payment using your VERVE, VISA or MASTER CARD. If you choose the card payment option, you will be asked to fill in the card details for the payment to be processed immediately.
- Proceed to fill out the Application form
- On completing the application form, print your acknowledgement slip.
- Click to pay for O’level verification.
- Print O’level Verification Certificate (To verify if the O’level verification is successful or not and to verify if there is any need for correction and re-verification).
All application procedures MUST be concluded on or before 12 midnight on 28th February 2023.
Applicants can start and complete this process from any location in the country. It is therefore advisable to minimize trips to Owerri for the purpose of completing the form.
PLEASE NOTE AS FOLLOWS:
- Candidates who did not initially choose any of the courses advertised above should utilize this opportunity to change course and upload their O’ Level result(s) on the JAMB portal in a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.

The entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as follows:
- Candidates are required to possess National Diploma in their chosen programme from any recognized/accredited Polytechnic or Monotechnic.
- Candidates are also to possess at least five (5) relevant O’level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’level Examinations).
- Candidates are required to have at least 12 months or 24 months post National Diploma Industrial Training Experience.
For details on the entry requirements peculiar to each of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes, candidates should visit the Polytechnic website www.fpno.edu.ng.
It is important to NOTE that any false data entry during the online registration will lead to disqualification of the candidate at any time such is discovered.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
- All candidates MUST first go to the school’s website www.fpno.edu.ng. and click on “Application form’s link” on the home page under Student’s menu, choose HND to proceed.
- Fill your Bio-data in the form and generate an invoice, print or copy out the invoice number, (you can do this on your mobile phone).
- Proceed to Federal Polytechnic Nekede Microfinance Bank or any bank of your choice and make a payment of (₦12,000.00) Twelve Thousand Naira only on the Remita platform, using the RRR number on the invoice you generated. You can also choose to make payment using your VERVE, VISA or MASTER CARD. If you choose the card payment option, you will be asked to fill in the card details for the payment to be processed immediately.
- Return to the school’s website www.fpno.edu.ng. click on “application form”, and complete your application process. Submit your data as requested and print out your acknowledgement slip. If you process your payment using your card, you will return to the portal immediately to print your receipt and acknowledgement slip.
