Undergraduate Admission Requirements

To gain admission into any of the undergraduate courses in UNIZIK, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Candidates must have at least five credit passes in O’level subjects relevant to their chosen course. The subjects must include English Language and Mathematics.
  2. Candidates must have a minimum score of 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
  3. Candidates must also pass the Post UTME screening test conducted by the university.
  4. Candidates who wish to apply for direct entry admission must have a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), National Certificate of Education (NCE), or any other equivalent qualification in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

UNIZIK Postgraduate Admission Requirements

To gain admission into any of the postgraduate courses in UNIZIK, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of second-class lower division for PGD and master’s programmes, and a minimum of second-class upper division for Ph.D. programmes.
  2. Candidates must have at least five credit passes in O’level subjects relevant to their chosen course. The subjects must include English Language and Mathematics.
  3. Candidates must have a minimum score of 50% in the Postgraduate Qualifying Examination (PQE) conducted by the university.
  4. Candidates must also submit a research proposal and a curriculum vitae along with their application forms.
  5. Candidates who wish to apply for Ph.D. programmes must have a master’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% average score or 4.0 on a 5-point scale.
  6. Candidates who wish to apply for professional programmes such as MBA, MPA, M.Med., etc. must have relevant professional qualifications or experience in addition to the above requirements.
