Undergraduate Admission Requirements
To gain admission into any of the undergraduate courses in UNIZIK, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have at least five credit passes in O’level subjects relevant to their chosen course. The subjects must include English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates must have a minimum score of 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
- Candidates must also pass the Post UTME screening test conducted by the university.
- Candidates who wish to apply for direct entry admission must have a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), National Certificate of Education (NCE), or any other equivalent qualification in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

UNIZIK Postgraduate Admission Requirements
To gain admission into any of the postgraduate courses in UNIZIK, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of second-class lower division for PGD and master’s programmes, and a minimum of second-class upper division for Ph.D. programmes.
- Candidates must have at least five credit passes in O’level subjects relevant to their chosen course. The subjects must include English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates must have a minimum score of 50% in the Postgraduate Qualifying Examination (PQE) conducted by the university.
- Candidates must also submit a research proposal and a curriculum vitae along with their application forms.
- Candidates who wish to apply for Ph.D. programmes must have a master’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% average score or 4.0 on a 5-point scale.
- Candidates who wish to apply for professional programmes such as MBA, MPA, M.Med., etc. must have relevant professional qualifications or experience in addition to the above requirements.
