- Possess five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, obtained at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE), GCE, NECO, or an equivalent examination, within a maximum of two sittings.
- Attain the JAMB cut-off mark in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English Language and Mathematics, as they are compulsory for all students.
- Undergo a post-JAMB screening process designed to admit the most exceptional candidates.
- Fulfill specific departmental requirements, in addition to the general admission criteria.
Admission through Direct Entry Mode:
For admission at the 200 level, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess five (5) credit passes, including English Language, obtained at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE), GCE, NECO, or an equivalent examination, within a maximum of two sittings.
- Hold at least two advanced level passes in relevant subjects from the General Certificate of Education examination, or have an Ordinary National Diploma with credit level or a Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) with credit level.
- Alternatively, have passes in two IJMB/JUPEB courses out of the three offered.
