NDU Postgraduate Admission Form - Niger Delta University (NDU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission to full-time and part-time postgraduate programs for the 2023/2024 academic session. The admission requirements vary depending on the program level.
NDU Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the PGD programs, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Meet the matriculation requirements, including a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics at the O' level.
- Hold at least a third-class degree in the relevant field from an approved university.
- Holders of an HND with a minimum credit level pass from recognized institutions are also eligible.
Masters Programme Requirements
The criteria for admission to the Masters programs are as follows:
- Meet the matriculation requirements.
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's Degree in the candidate's area of application with at least a second class honours (Lower Division) from an approved or recognized university, or have a CGPA of at least 3.50 on a 5.00-point scale for appropriate faculties. For Biochemistry, the CGPA requirement is 3.00, while for Biological Sciences, it is 2.75.
- Candidates with a PGD at credit level pass are also eligible.
Masters/PhD Programme Requirements
For admission to the Masters/PhD programs, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Meet the matriculation requirements.
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's Degree in the candidate's area of application with at least a second class honours (Lower Division) from an approved or recognized university.
- Possess a Master's Degree with a CGPA of at least 3.20 on a 5.00-point scale, as applicable.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Requirements
Candidates seeking admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program must meet the following requirements:
- Meet the matriculation requirements.
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's Degree in the candidate's area of application with at least a second class honours (Lower Division) from an approved or recognized university.
- Hold a Master's Degree with a CGPA of at least 3.50/4.00 on a 5.00-point scale, as applicable.
- For the Ph.D. in Reproductive Health, additional requirements are specified in the prospectus/brochure for holders of Full Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or the West African College of Surgeons (WACS), as well as holders of Part 1 Fellowship.
Application and Additional Admission Requirements
To apply for the NDU postgraduate admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Submit an academic transcript of past qualifications (PGD, MSc, Ph.D.) with a forwarding letter signed by an authorized officer of the institution. The transcript should be sent by confidential cover to the Dean, Postgraduate School, Niger Delta University. Candidates are advised to request their transcripts immediately upon purchasing and submitting the application form to avoid late submission.
- Provide two referees, one of whom must be an academic referee. This can be a lecturer who taught the candidate in the former school, project/thesis supervisor, head of department, or dean of the faculty.
- Include your NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption/Exclusion Letter. Candidates awaiting the NYSC Discharge certificate can apply, provided that the certificate will be ready at the time of registration.
Duration of NDU Postgraduate Programme

FULL-TIME
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes: Minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters.
- Masters (MSc) Programmes: Minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme: Minimum of six semesters and a maximum of ten semesters.
PART-TIME
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes: Minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters.
- Masters (MSc) Programmes: Minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes: Minimum of ten semesters and a maximum of twelve semesters.
Please note that the duration for the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Public Administration (MPA) is a minimum of four semesters.

- Purchase the Application Form at ndufees.com for the sum of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000.00) only.
- Visit postgraduate.nduportal.com and click on "Admissions."
- Click on the application and enter your mobile phone number and payment receipt number.
- Fill out the form accurately, upload all necessary documents, and confirm the upload of documents.
- Print out the application form. Please note that the N30,000.00 application fee is non-refundable.
Duration of Sale and Upload of Documents

Note: Incomplete or improper uploading of documents, as well as incorrect filling of admission forms, will render your application invalid.
