DELSU Diploma Admission Form: Delta State University's Centre for Continuing Education Programmes (CCEP) is now accepting applications for admission to its Regular Diploma Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year. See below the courses, requirements, and how to apply for the DELSU Diploma form.

Applications for the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka Regular Diploma programs for the 2023/2024 academic session are being accepted from suitably qualified candidates.

DELSU Diploma Courses and Requirements

General Conditions:

  1. Applicants must have a minimum of four (4) credits from the GCE O/L, NECO SSC or WASC, NABTEB, or its equivalent in no more than two sittings. 
  2. Candidates must also meet the specific Departmental Requirements for their courses of interest.

Specific Requirements for new DIPLOMA 

PROGRAMMEENTRY REQUIREMENTS
ARTS
French: Five (5) O/L credit passes (SSCE) or its equivalent including English Language and at least a Pass in Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
Theatre Arts
Fine & Applied Arts
Musici. Applicants who possess IJMB or RSA Stage II certificate with credit pass in five subjects at O/L, including English Language and a Pass in Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
ii. Grade 5 in Music Theory or Practical of the ABRSM/MUSON is equivalent to O’ Level credit in music.
iii. One year Certificate in music from a DELSU-recognized institution is accepted as credit passes in music.

ENGINEERING
Chemicali. Five (5) O/L credit passes (SSCE) or its equivalent, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and any other subject in not more than two (2) sittings.
OR
ii. TCII with credit passes as in 1 above are eligible to apply
OR
iii. City and Guilds Certificate (part 1) in Chemical or Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.

Mathematics & Applied StatisticsFive (5) O/L credits pass in SSCE or its equivalents, including English Language and Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Further Mathematics.
Petroleum & Environmental ChemistryFive (5) O/L credits pass in SSCE or its equivalents, including English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and one other science subject in not more than two sittings.
Geology i. Five (5) O/L credit pass including Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics and any other Science subject in not more than two (2) sittings.
ii. In addition to (i) above, credit in Biology is required for applicants for Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology & Fermentation Technology and Biochemistry & Biotechnology programmes.

Criminology and Security Studies

Mass CommunicationFive (5) O/L credits pass in SSCE or its equivalents, including English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English and two Social Science subjects.
Economics & Social StatisticsFive (5) O/L credit passes in SSCE or its equivalents, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one other Social Science subject, and any other subject, in not more than two sittings.
Geospatial Studies and Disaster ManagementFive (5) O/L credit passes in SSCE or its equivalents, including English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two subjects from Economics, Government, Commerce, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, CRS, and Literature in English, Accounting and Agricultural Science.

1Agricultural Science EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass including English Language, Mathematics and either Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology and one of Geography/ Economics.
B. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass including English Language, Mathematics, and either Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology and any one of Geography or Economics
2Biology EducationMinimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including Mathematics, Biology and English Language.
3Business EducationMinimum of four (4) O/L credits pass including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one other subject OR Associateship Certificate in Education/Accounting/Business Administration /Marketing/ Secretarial Studies awarded by an approved Institution of Higher Learning.
4Chemistry EducationMinimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including Mathematics and Chemistry, with a credit in English Language.
5Computer Science EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including English Language and Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
B. Minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language and Maths and any other two Science subjects.
6Early Childhood EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits passes including English Language & Maths.

B. TC II with at least Merit passes in four subjects as required in (a) above and credit passes in Mathematics and General Science.
12Human Kinetics, Recreation & Sports Science EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass including English Language, Maths & Biology or Health Science OR minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language, Mathematics, Physical Education & any other subject.
B. Holders of Associateship Certificate in Education.
13Integrated Science EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including English Language, Maths, Biology and Chemistry.
B. Minimum of four(4) Merits in TC II in the relevant Science subjects, English Language and Mathematics as indicated in (a) above.
14Library Science EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass including English Language & Maths

C. Any other equivalent qualification acceptable to Senate as in (a) and (b) above
15Mathematics EducationMinimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics and English Language.
16Physics EducationMinimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, and any other subject.
17Political Science EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including English Language and Mathematics, Government or History and one other Art or Science subject.
B. A minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language and Mathematics, Government or History and one other Art or Science subject.
18Secretarial Studies Education

A. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and one other subject.
B. Associateship Certificate in Education/Accounting/Business Administration/ Secretarial Studies awarded by an approved Institution of Higher Learning.

19Social Studies EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass, including English Language and Mathematics and any two of Economics, Government, History, Geography, CRS or Commerce.
B. Minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language and Mathematics and any two of Economics, Government or History Geography, CRS or Commence.
20Technical EducationA. Minimum of four (4) O/L credits pass including English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other Arts/Social Science/Science subjects.

How To Apply For DELSU Diploma Admission Form

Candidates are required to visit https://delsuonline.com/ to generate a virtual pin of ₦15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only payable at any of Ecobank, Unity Bank, Zenith Bank or UBA banks.

PROCEDURE FOR CREATING A VIRTUAL PIN

  1. Go to http://delsuonline.com/.
  2. Select "Online Registration."
  3. Click Start
  4. Go to Diploma Programme.
  5. Click Start
  6. Fill out the form and generate a pin.
  7. Print the generated pin.
  8. To make a payment, go to the specified bank.
  9. Candidates should with the payment pin (valid for six (6) hours only) access and complete the Delta State University, Abraka, 2023/2024 Diploma Form online at https://delsuonline.com/ with their recent coloured passport-sized photograph (JPEG format & 20kb in size).
  10. Candidates are advised to use their virtual pin immediately after payment because the pin will become invalid after six (6) hours.
  11. Before completing the form, candidates should read the instructions on the website's front page.
  12. Candidates must bring the following items to the examination site:
  • a copy of the completed online application confirmation print-out; 
  • two recent passport-sized colour photographs with full names of candidates and signatures on the reversed side of photographs; 
  • four-figure table (where applicable), pen, HB pencil, and eraser
NOTE:
  • Candidates should only log in to the courses they selected for the Diploma Programme.
  • GSM phones are not allowed.
  • Parents, guardians, and well-wishers will not be permitted to stay near the examination site.
  • Anyone caught impersonating will be arrested, and the candidates they impersonated will be disqualified.
  • All candidates with four (4) credits are advised to make up the relevant five (5) credits at the end of the programme in order to qualify for the degree programme.
