- Have a minimum of FIVE credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects, at the SSCE/WASSC, GCE/O/L, or NECO level.

Application Procedure

- Visit the School of Foundation Studies application site at applications.unilag.edu.ng.
- Click on the "School of Foundation Studies" option under the Prospective Students menu.
- Review the subject combinations relevant to your desired course of study for Direct Entry admission. Please note that there have been recent changes to these combinations.
- Fill out the Pre-Application Form to generate a payment reference number (PRN) using your correct names as stated in your birth certificate and other relevant documents.
- Make a non-refundable payment of N25,000.00 (excluding bank charges) at any commercial bank in Nigeria using the generated payment reference number (PRN).
- Return to the applications site at applications.unilag.edu.ng.
- Log in using your PRN as the username and your surname in lowercase as the password.
- Complete the application form and ensure that you print two copies for your records.
- One week before the examination date, access your examination pass online and print a copy for yourself.
- Practice questions will also be available online one week before the examination date. Log in with your application number as the username and your surname in lowercase as the password.

Key Dates and Examination Information
Here are the important dates and examination details you need to know:
- Application process: Opens on Monday, June 12, 2023, and closes on Friday, August 11, 2023.
- Entrance examination: Scheduled for Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) at the University of Lagos.
- Mode of examination: Computer-Based Testing (CBT) with multiple-choice questions.
- Examination subjects: Mathematics and English Language (20 questions each) and three other relevant subjects chosen by the candidate (15 questions each), totalling 85 questions.
- Candidates with Mathematics as one of their subject combinations must select Further Mathematics as one of the subjects in the entrance examination combination.
- All questions must be answered within a one-hour time frame.
- Results and merit admission will be released on www.unilag.edu.ng. However, please note that admission into undergraduate programmes is subject to the approved capacity for each programme and does not guarantee a seat in the preferred course of choice.
- The University reserves the right to conduct or adopt alternative testing measures for courses with a higher number of successful candidates than the approved capacity.
