Admission Notice for Plateau State University Applicants
Prospective students who submitted their applications for admission into Plateau State University, Bokkos, through the JAMB UTME and Direct Entry (DE) channels in both the 2022 and 2023 sessions are hereby informed. The University has scheduled its comprehensive Online Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise to evaluate and select candidates for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 Academic Sessions. This evaluation will be conducted from Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, to Thursday, September 14th, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
The screening process is open to the following categories of candidates:
- Candidates who selected Plateau State University, Bokkos, as their "First Choice" institution and scored 170 and above in the 2022 JAMB UTME.
- Candidates who chose Plateau State University, Bokkos, as their "First Choice" institution and scored 160 and above in the 2023 JAMB UTME.
- Aspiring students who designated Plateau State University, Bokkos, as their "First Choice" in the 2022 and 2023 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) applications, and possess any of the following qualifications: Degrees, Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit, and IJMB with a minimum of 7 points.
How to Apply for PLASU Post-UTME Screening
The screening procedure, outlined below, is to be followed by all applicants:
- Visit the University's official portal: sis.plasu.edu.ng.
- Select "Application forms" from the menu options and then click on "UTME/DE APPLICATION."
- Provide your JAMB Registration Number for verification purposes.
- Enter a Valid/Active email address used during your JAMB registration, create a secure password, and confirm it.
- A Confirmation Link will be sent to your email address. Click on this link to log in and complete the application process.
- Click on the "Click to make payment" button to generate an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) number.
- For individuals choosing the card payment option via Remita, click "Proceed To Payment." If opting for cash payment, copy the RRR number and proceed to the nearest bank for payment.
- Make a non-refundable screening fee payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00).
- Upload a recent passport photograph (Maximum file size: 150kb. Allowed file types: png, jpg, jpeg).
- Submit your best performance in five (5) O-Level subjects, complying with JAMB brochure requirements for PLASU, along with their corresponding grades. Note that you should not exceed two (2) sittings of SSCE/O-Level results.
- After completing the above steps, your registration is finalized, and you can print out the application slip.
How to Apply for PLASU Direct Entry Screening
Applicants for PLASU Direct Entry (DE) should adhere to the following process:
Visit the University's official portal: sis.plasu.edu.ng.
Navigate to the "Application forms" section and select "UTME/DE APPLICATION."
Enter your JAMB Registration Number for verification.
Provide an active and valid email address used during JAMB registration. Create a secure password and confirm it.
A Confirmation Link will be sent to your email address. Use this link to log in and complete the application process.
Click on the "Click to make payment" button to generate an RRR number.
If you intend to make a card payment via Remita, select "Proceed To Payment." For cash payments, copy the RRR number and visit the nearest bank to initiate payment.
Pay a non-refundable screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00).
Upload a recent passport photograph (Maximum file size: 150kb. Allowed file types: png, jpg, jpeg).
Provide details of your Direct Entry Academic Qualification, including Name of Institution, Qualification Name, Discipline, and Grade.
Upon completion of the aforementioned steps, your registration is confirmed, and you can proceed to print the application slip.
Important Note
It is crucial to emphasize that candidates who receive provisional admission based on inaccurate information will not be formally registered and could face legal actions.
